Microsoft is Trying to Patent New Controllers for Mobile Phones

Windows Latest recently revealed a new patent application from Microsoft and it is for rechargeable, detachable controllers for mobile phones.

According to the new report, the controls will block “very little or none of the display areas” on a said mobile phone like your phone or tab. Based on the photos in the patent application, the controls don’t look very comfy to play with, but they must be better than most touchscreen controls we use to play games with.

I’m sure that this new controller is being developed for when Microsoft releases the mighty xCloud, the new upcoming service will let you play your Xbox games anywhere, phones included. Seems a bit easier to attach these controls than to have an Xbox One controller and anchor handy.

What do you think about this new upcoming controller?
